Whimsical Santa spindles ....

Leslie says, "Throughout the year, I save my wooden scraps and other objects; spindles and rods at least 1 1/2” in diameter are especially prized.   Around Thanksgiving, I glue them together to create neat little stacks that become Santas - usually topped off with some snow and a tiny bottle brush tree.   The wooden stacks are at most 12” in height.

Each is painted with a different Santa.  And, then, for the rest of the year, I grab a “Santa Stack” when I need a quick Christmas gift.   Some of my friends have “brigades” of Santa Stacks, gathered over the years."
